The Laboratory for Computer Science Research (LCSR) is currently looking for a Student Python Web Programmer. This position will be directed in the development, maintenance, testings, documentation and cleanup of web applications primarily in Python. This is a programming position. This work is for the benefit of the Department of Computer Science (DCS) and the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS).
Starting: As Soon As Possible. Must be able to work Summer 2023.
Hours: Available hours to work are 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. 10-15 hours of work per week are required during the school semester. 20-40 hours of work per week are available during the holidays, winter and summer breaks.
Wage: Between $15-25/hr depending on skill set.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Design, development, test, maintain, and support of Python Web Applications.
- Connect services via APIs and other interfaces.
- Install, configure, modify Linux based software.
- Potential applications are related to Data Science instruction.
- Feature and Bug Issue Tracking
- Participating in Code Reviews and other Meetings
- Debugging, enhancing, optimizing and refactoring pre-existing code
- User Interface and Experience Design
- Documentation

Required Qualifications:
- Python
- Web Application Development
- Code version control and workflow
- Development in a Linux OS environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experiences with APIs, Message Passing, or Remote Communication
- Experience with a backend framework
- Experience with a frontend framework
- Experience with a database
Additional Qualifications:

Work preferred in office on Busch Campus, but may be preformed remotely. You must have the ability to do so by providing your own computing equipment and internet connection in order to connect to the on-site work resources. You must have the ability to video conference. You must have a distraction free physical environment to perform your work.
