Vladimir Ivanov

Vladimir Alexandrovich Ivanov is a Phd student in Computer Science. In 2014, he earned his B.S. in Mathematics and Accounting at Fairfield University. Vladimir’s interest is to reverse engineer the brain and further advance the capabilities of artificial intelligence systems. He focuses on the effects of support cells within CNS on neural information processing. Vladimir engages also in philosophy, weight training, skiing, backpacking, piano, and bio-hacking.

Guangzhi Tang

Guangzhi is a PhD student in Computer Science. He got his MS degree in the lab. Before coming to Rutgers, he got his B.S. degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University in China. He is an amateur road cyclist, and member of Rutgers Cycling team. He is interested in neuro-inspired algorithms for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Neelesh Kumar

Neelesh Kumar is a PhD student in Computer Science. He got his MS degree at ComBra lab. Before coming to Rutgers, he got his B.Tech degree from India. His research interest lies in using machine learning techniques to exploit hidden structures in data. He also follows football and is a passionate Chelsea FC fan.

Nick Georgiou is an NSF REU student, coming from the University of Virginia with a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science and a minor in Business. He is conducting research on neurorehabilitation robotics.

Josh Siegel

Josh Siegel is an Undergraduate Honor’s student majoring in Electrical & Computer engineering and is working on controlling a robot’s motion using brain waves.

Within academics, Josh is interested in Robotics and Controls, and also studies space exploration as a hobby. Outside of academics, Josh is an avid swimmer who competes as part of the Rutgers Club Swim team, and enjoys the outdoors as an Eagle Scout.

Arpit Shah

Arpit Shah is an undergraduate student admitted to the B.S./M.S. Honor’s track in Computer Science at Rutgers. His interests lie in machine learning and robotics. Outside of school, he likes to work on various small projects and play ping pong.

Scott Hoberman

Scott is an undergraduate Honor’s College student majoring in Cognitive Science at Rutgers University. He is also minoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Music, and enjoys learning about the brain and applying that knowledge to build sophisticated algorithms. Outside of school, Scott likes to play the drums, listen to music, and read.
